I got a phone call from the woman at the cats protection centre saying that she was about to come over for the home visit and was bringing the kitten with her! This was really unexpected but totally welcome! After bombing around the spare room for 2 hours she passed out on my lap ^-^ We’ve decided to call her Kira, after one of the Gelflings in The Dark Crystal. She looks rather gelfling-esque.
Lilith is rather unhappy about the new intruder, but I’m sure she’ll come around :)

Today has been a bit of a rollercoaster. I’m having a bit of a bad time with my health at the moment and am feeling rather down about it, so Darren came home with some beautiful roses and cooked us a really nice dinner <3
We then went to the house of a woman who’s fostering cats/kittens on behalf of a cats protection centre in Cheltenham. It was a house of PURE JOY! I’ve been grinning so much that Darren wants to hit me :p There must have been around 20 cats plus half a dozen kittens, and all the stories that went with them were heart breaking :( We fell completely in love with the kitten that they thought would be best for us, and they’re coming to the flat tomorrow to make sure it’s okay, and if it is then we should have her at the weekend! So, hopefully, this little lady will be joining us ^-^ She has an adorable little pointy, elf-like face and was running around like crazy, but also enjoyed a good cuddle and purr session. *excite*

The other day I bought an “activity centre” for Lilith, but I prefer to think of it as a castle/adventure playground :D It arrived today, and I spent a good while putting it together. She looked at it rather suspiciously from a distance for a while, but after I put some treats and catnip on it, she made herself at home. And yes, she has laser eyes…never mess with Lilith ;)

Yesterday I went to London to meet up with the lovely ladies that are Twiglet and Tessa. We pretty much spent the entire afternoon sitting outside a wonderful diner drinking “Hard Milkshakes” (basically milkshakes full of booze) and damn were they yummy! I’m definitely going to have to make it a regular haunt when ever I visit London!
I’ve only ever met these ladies when we’ve been shooting, and whilst it’s always fun, full of laughter and talking about everything, it was really nice to hang out with them in a “non-work” setting and actually just chill out and not be rushing around getting changed, moving lighting and making sure we get the right shot etc haha. It shall definitely have to be repeated ^-^

Today I went to a dump/landfill for the first time. It was as exciting as it sounds o.0
I’m rather grateful that photos cannot capture smells, it was unholy. I rather enjoyed the drive into the countryside though, windows down and music up, adoring the sunshine and cursing the heat. I mentioned in passing that ice cream would be awesome right then, so Darren suddenly swung the car into Sainsbury’s and we bought Magnums! Perfect-o!

Sadly we came back from devon today, and I discovered that due to sitting in the sun pretty much the entire time, I had acquired a random patch of sunburn! Generally I love sunshine, it makes me very happy, but I always sit in the shade as I burn SO easily. Plus burn/tan just doesn’t look good on my death pale skin haha. But yep, like pretty much everyone else who was there, it got me!

Yesterday Darren and I went to Devon for a friend’s wedding, along with all our awesome friends. It was epic, wonderful and full of awesome. My face still hurts from smiling and laughing so much. The wedding/meal/reception was in an 11th century hotel (we stayed the night there too) complete with suits of armour, swords and ornate gilded frames adorning practically every wall. It was stunning and I want to go back there so bad! The weather was non-stop glorious sunshine and the entire day was pretty much perfect for Liam and Michelle. They bloody well deserved it too! I also had my first White Russian, swiftly followed by my second, and then third. Safe to say I have a new favourite drink! I could go on and on about the whole day, it’s definitely firmly engraved in my mind as a very happy memory. It was bliss. I think all the vitamin D has gone to my head and made me insanely happy!

After him showing me the trailer I told Darren there’s no chance in hell that I’d watch Apartment 143, as I have a thing about possession/fucked up faces in horror movies. I love gore, murder, slashers, psychological thrillers and the such, and hauntings to a certain extent, but I draw the line at possession and faces that come back to you at 3am. Despite this, this evening I insisted that we watch it because I was in the mood for a scary movie. I spent the majority of the time watching it from behind my favourite cushion. It was okay, it was more tense than scary, and the amount of jumpy bits were disappointingly low, and thankfully I missed two of the three scenes containing a fucked up possessed face :D

I haven’t been very well today, plus all my muscles have been screaming at me for days, so I decided to have a nice relaxing bath and it helped so much! When Sophie came to stay the other day she brought me one of my belated birthday presents, which was a really lovely bath bomb. Damn this thing was good!

Yesterday afternoon I went to an awesome bakery with two of my friends, Charlie and Michelle. We haven’t seen each other in a little while so it was great to have a catch up. The Swallow Bakery sells awesome tea in giant teapots and it’s SO cheap! I love that place ^-^
